This very rare axe is made by the Asmat tribe - Papoea New Guinea.
This tribe is still making weapons and living on the same way as our prehistoric ancestors did!
The stone axe is placed on a specially chosen tree-branch fixed with reed.

This axe was brought along with an expedition to the Habbema Lake in 1938.
