This stunning “Bifacial” Prehistoric Axe/Drill is dating back to the Middle Palaeolithic; Mousterian culture.
The axe is made out of Multi Colour Brown Jasper and is the result of excellent prehistoric workmanship made by Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
Contemporary industry with the Mousterian, Neanderthalensis in Europe.
Very nice shaped, very sharp tip (probably used as a drill) stunning shiny patina, beautiful colours and complete intact.
Found in the Western Sahara desert of Northern Africa.
This axe was numbered by the archaeologist who found the item with the original finding mark “WSS341”.
